Your First Bridal Appointment

Scheduling your first bridal appointment might feel somewhat intimidating.

Wedding dress appointmentYour wedding date and venue are set (recommended about 8 months in advance).

Congratulations, it is starting to feel real.

Take time to plan your store visits carefully when starting the process of selecting a bridal gown. Reading reviews about the places you are planning to visit is very helpful. Of course Yelp and Google are usually accurate about their posts (maybe they’re not 100% factual, still you can figure out the overall service you will receive based on the comments). Then check the stores’ websites to see if their designers match your style preferences.

When calling be specific when asking questions, maybe write a list of what is relevant to you: including sizes, styles, average price point, average appointment time, alterations, time needed to complete the order), etc.

I recommend targeting your appointments, it will save you time and possible confusion. Not all stores are alike.

During your fitting good and honest communication is paramount. Bridal professionals are experienced with fittings and whatever concerns you may have should be shared. Most brides need help with the selection and suggestions are always welcome.

Your experience should be fun, informative and stress free.

PS In case of a last minute cancellation some stores may charge a fee (average $50.00).
